You see the obstacle.
The pressure.
The weight that refuses to move.
And your first instinct?
Climb. Push. Strive. Prove yourself.
What if the mountain in front of you… was never meant to be climbed?
God asks something different.
Jesus never said, “Climb it.”“For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed… you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move.” — Matthew 17:20
He said, “Speak to it. Trust Me.”
Yet how often do we exhaust ourselves…
trying to conquer what God is ready to move?
We plan without praying.
We act without asking.
We struggle… alone.
And it’s hard.
Because trusting feels slower than striving.
Because surrender feels weaker than control.
But look again.
Moses stood before the sea — no path, no solution.
Not effort… but prayer. And the waters parted.
David faced a giant — not with strength, but with trust in God. And the impossible fell.
Peter tried to walk on water — and sank the moment he relied on himself. But when he cried out, “Lord, save me,” he was lifted.
Again and again…
human effort reaches its limit.
And prayer opens the way.
So the next time you face a mountain; don’t panic or rush.
Pause.
Pray.
Seek His will.
Keep doing what is right.
But let God lead how it unfolds.
Because He may not ask you to climb at all…
He may move it.
Or guide you around it.
Or send help you never expected.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart… and He will make straight your paths.” — Proverbs 3:5–6
So today, may we choose faith over frenzy.
May we pray before we push.
May we trust before we try to control.
And may we remember that no mountain is greater than the God who stands with us.
